今学期最後のコモンミールで、台湾人の友達二人（Jennifer とParty）とタイ式「月の蝦餅」を作りだした。学期が終わるのはほっとしたが、それと共にPartyが台湾に帰らなければならなくなることは、Jennifer と私にとって非常に寂しいことだ。なので、この最後のコモンミールで、台湾で人気のタイ式月の蝦餅を三人一緒に作ろうと思った。 蝦餅を作るのに、たくさんのエビを細かく切り刻むのが必要だ。そのために、Partyと私は三時半から一階の台所に話しながらエビの準備をして、四時半Jenniferが帰ってくると調味して、ライスペーパーに広げて炒めた。後はタイのスイートチリソースを浸して食べた。とても美味しかったし、友達と一緒に作って楽しかった。 タイ人のWinijは、台湾で一番有名なタイ料理として人気の月の蝦餅はタイ料理ではなく、タイのレストランではそれを提供していない、と言った。月の蝦餅実はタイ料理の何かを転じて、台湾人の味に合わせるような「台湾風タイ式料理」だ。それを聞いてビックリした。もし皆さん台湾に行く機会があれば、絶対台湾しかないタイ式月の蝦餅を食べてください！   The last common meal of the semester, I decided to make Thai style Moon Shrimp Pancake with 2 of my Taiwanese friends, Jennifer and Party.
