今学期最後のコモンミールで、台湾人の友達二人（Jennifer とParty）とタイ式「月の蝦餅」を作りだした。学期が終わるのはほっとしたが、それと共にPartyが台湾に帰らなければならなくなることは、Jennifer と私にとって非常に寂しいことだ。なので、この最後のコモンミールで、台湾で人気のタイ式月の蝦餅を三人一緒に作ろうと思った。 蝦餅を作るのに、たくさんのエビを細かく切り刻むのが必要だ。そのために、Partyと私は三時半から一階の台所に話しながらエビの準備をして、四時半Jenniferが帰ってくると調味して、ライスペーパーに広げて炒めた。後はタイのスイートチリソースを浸して食べた。とても美味しかったし、友達と一緒に作って楽しかった。 タイ人のWinijは、台湾で一番有名なタイ料理として人気の月の蝦餅はタイ料理ではなく、タイのレストランではそれを提供していない、と言った。月の蝦餅実はタイ料理の何かを転じて、台湾人の味に合わせるような「台湾風タイ式料理」だ。それを聞いてビックリした。もし皆さん台湾に行く機会があれば、絶対台湾しかないタイ式月の蝦餅を食べてください！   The last common meal of the semester, I decided to make Thai style Moon Shrimp Pancake with 2 of my Taiwanese friends, Jennifer and Party. ハウスの中で最も重要なイベント。 それは、トリップでも、セミナーでも、はたまた50周年記念パーティでもない。 クリーニングデイである。 半年間、汚しに汚しきったハウスの全てを掃除するのである。 クリスマスパーティの次の日、10時よりクリーニングデイは始まった。 最初の仕事は、二日酔いのレジデントを叩き起こすところからだった。 今回は、前回までの反省点を活かし、以下の点を工夫した。 ・参加率を上げるため、参加者には購入するピザの種類を選べることにした。 ・楽しく掃除をするため、音楽をかけた。 ・公平性を保つため、クリーニングデイを欠席した者に別日に掃除をしてもらった。 その結果、ほぼ全員が出席し、効率良く掃除を行うことが出来た。 Read more →

イベント日時：12月5日、10：00－13：00 今期のセミナーでは、よさこい教室を開催した。 よさこいとは、鮮やかな衣装をまとい、鳴子または四つ竹と呼ばれる特別な道具をカシャカシャと鳴らしながら踊る激しい踊りである。発祥の地は高知県ではある が、現在では日本各地でよさこい踊りのチームが存在する。祭りなどに出て楽しく活動を行っている。今回のセミナー当番である私とヨンちゃんも彩京前線とい う大学のよさこいサークルに所属しているので、セミナーのテーマはすぐよさこいに決まった。そして、振りを教えてもらうためには彩京前線のメンバー5人を インストラクターとして招待した！ 最初はよさこいと彩京前線の簡単な紹介をし、スぺバを披露した。（スぺバとは、京都学生祭典で誕生した踊りで、京都らしさをたくさん取り入れた踊りのことである。） 次にグループ分けをし、インストラクターの皆さんに振りを教えてもらった。スぺバの振りは結構ややこしいので、最初はみんながちゃんと踊れるかなとちょっと心配だったが、みんなが思った以上に上手にできていて良かった！   振りを教えてもらった後、曲を流しスぺバをみんなで踊ってみた。みんなが楽しそうに踊っているのを見てとても嬉しかった！よさこいの魅力、ちゃんと伝わったのかな？ˆ_ˆ 最後に常例のピザパをし、みんなで楽しくおしゃべりをした。皆さん、よさこいセミナーお疲れさまでした！ Read more →
